Nutrition Support
Why is nutrition important?
Nutrition is the quiet foundation that supports women from fertility through postpartum. It shapes the rhythm of our hormones, prepares the body for conception, nourishes mom and baby during pregnancy, and supports deep restoration after birth.
The foods we choose become information for the body, guiding our energy and sustaining resilience. When nutrition is approached with intention, it becomes a way of listening to your body and meeting its needs through each changing season.
Working with a nutrition professional can help ease common pregnancy discomforts, such as nausea, fatigue, constipation, heartburn, and mood shifts, while supporting overall maternal health. Thoughtful nutrition may also reduce the risk of anemia, gestational diabetes, pre-eclampsia, postpartum depression, and more.
A mother’s wellbeing lays the foundation for her baby’s health, and supporting her nutritional needs before, during, and after pregnancy helps provide the strongest possible start for her baby.

Functional Medicine is an evidence-based care system, designed to uncover and address the underlying cause of your symptoms or diagnosed conditions. Instead of using prescriptions as band-aid solutions, we delve into the question "why is this happening?" and craft a unique plan to reverse or improve your symptoms or conditions.
A core principle of Functional Medicine is to establish a therapeutic partnership with the client. There is power in your story, as it often holds the key to unraveling the root cause(s) of your symptoms. I am here to listen, and to help you uncover the factors influencing your health.
When we apply the principles of Functional Medicine to nutrition, we view the body as a complex, interconnected system rather than isolated parts. We may identify a singular root cause for multiple symptoms or several root causes for a single condition.

Yes, as a Certified Nutrition Specialist I am authorized to order functional lab testing.
Functional lab testing can offer deeper insight into what’s happening beneath the surface, helping us move beyond symptoms alone. When appropriate, these labs allow us to identify patterns related to nutrient status, gut health, blood sugar balance, hormones, genetics, inflammation, and more.
Lab testing allows for more tailored recommendations, and is always used thoughtfully, in context with your history, symptoms, and health goals.
Disclaimer: As a CNS, I am not authorized to diagnose any medical conditions through lab testing.

As a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS), I don’t diagnose medical conditions. Instead, I focus on supporting your health through personalized nutrition care, education, and thoughtful guidance. My work is meant to complement (not replace) your existing medical care, and I’m happy to collaborate with your physician, midwife, or other providers when helpful.

At this time, I do not accept any form of insurance.
